On a gray afternoon, walking along Rue Saint-Honoré, he stopped in front of a silent, sober window. There he felt something familiar: the serene aesthetic of Cristóbal Balenciaga, the precision of Hubert de Givenchy, the structure of Christian Dior. Not the houses as they are today, but the original essence of their founders and of haute couture itself.
A beauty that needed no explanation; perfection in every detail.
In that instant, he understood what he had felt all his life:
